ANSI/AWS D17.3/D17.3M:2010

This specification contains the requirements for designing, friction stir welding, and inspecting aluminum aerospacehardware. Friction stir welding (FSW) produces a weld between two abutting workpieces by the friction heating and plasticmaterial displacement caused by a rotating tool that traverses along the weld joint.
